On 21 July, our nursery was inspected by Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education). The inspection went very well and we were able to showcase all the wonderful things we enjoy doing here and what a typical day at Bear’s House is like for every child who attends. We would like to thank all the team for their exceptional effort and hard work, not only on the day of our inspection but continuously within their roles at Bear's House.
Of the four areas that Ofsted grade, we were awarded two ‘good’ grades and two ‘outstanding’ grades. We are incredibly happy to read comments like this within the report:
“Children receive clear guidance, explanations, and lots of praise from staff. This
gives children the confidence to participate, develop a can-do attitude to learning
and take pride in their achievements. Children confidently approach staff for
comfort and reassurance. This demonstrates that they feel safe and secure in the
nursery setting.”
“Babies build warm and trusting relationships with staff. They benefit from staff who
engage closely and sensitively with them.”
“Staff engage pre-school children in exceptionally high-quality interactions to
support their learning.”
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the parents who took time to speak to the inspectors on the day or email their comments for us to display. We greatly appreciate all your support in making Bear’s House a home-from-home for all children.
