We’re very excited to become pioneers for Baby Room Projects in the East Sussex area. The scheme has been launched by our Early Years Support and Intervention Officers (EYSIO) Laura Piper and Verity Green in collaboration with Christchurch Canterbury University and its aim is to better understand the learning process of our youngest pupils. Similar projects have been organised in the USA, Australia and Northamptonshire.
Our practitioners are part of a small, carefully selected group of Early Years professionals who dedicate their time to research and observe specific aspects of babies development. The strategy is to reflect on existing practices and establish practices that meets babies needs in the best possible way and create a stimulating environment where the children begin the very important journey of learning.
The project will allow the baby room team to exceed within their area of expertise and gain more experience through networking with other teams involved in the program.
Thank you to our amazing parents who have been as enthusiastic as us about joining the project.
